State Rep. Staush Gruszynski is leading to keep people safe and our elections secure during this uncertain time.
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we all saw the long lines in Green Bay for the April election. It was a disaster. We heard story after story about Green Bay citizens waiting for hours to vote. Staush knew that wasn’t acceptable and immediately began working on a solution. The bipartisan Emergency Election Act was the product of being able to put the partisan bickering aside, and focusing on real results for Green Bay. The bill ensures voters are able to cast a ballot safely and securely, and help municipalities manage an election during a pandemic. The Emergency Elections Act was introduced on May 18th.
Staush gained national attention in May for his work on the Emergency Elections Act. In an interview with CNN Staush had this to say about the bill, "We wanted the bill to be bipartisan. We wanted to find a place where we could find common ground...I think people and voters across Wisconsin are yearning for that right now. They want us to reach across the aisle and work together, to both address the pandemic and make sure people have the ability to vote safely and have more transparency in their election process and really help to make sure they have less confusion like we saw in the April election.” (Read the entire story HERE https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/20/politics/wisconsin-bill-absentee-voting/index.html)
Staush continues to lead for Green Bay. That’s why he’s asking for your vote on Aug. 11th.
